Think outside the box. Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

Successful people think differently. Wealthy people tend to look at the glass as half full as opposed to half empty. They look into the future and see opportunities everywhere. They think outside the box and come up with creative and innovative ways of doing business.

Meditation, Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

It is hard to find someone with a compelling argument against meditation. Studies have shown meditation can change your brain matter, reduce stress, and help entrepreneurs make better decisions.

The other thing you find when you look into meditation is just how many successful entrepreneurs and high-level executives are doing it. Their methods vary, but when studying these people you consistently find that nearly all of them have some form of meditation built into their daily routine. Jessica Alba states she practices guided meditation for a mind body connection.

Transcendental meditation is also widely used among successful people and another technique worth looking into.

Taking care of your body and mind all ways to improve your chances of success.

Idleness and success. Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

Successful people are rarely idle. Determine never to be idle. “No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much can be done if we are always doing”
Thomas Jefferson

Just Say No. Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

Sometimes, saying yes can be a boom to your career—it opens you up to new challenges and opportunities, invites collaboration, empowers and affirms others, and creates an environment where it’s safe to try, fail, learn and innovate.

But always saying yes can also leave you exhausted, stressed, and time-poor, wondering why you’ve been busy but not productive.

Billionaire Warren Buffett, the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has a theory on this subject worth exploring: “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.” -Warren Buffett

If you want to grow your career, you need to learn to say no.

Successful people realize that by saying “no” to negativity, extra work and activities that waste time, they can focus on increasing their productivity. If they say “yes” to everyone or everything and they’ll be too distracted and will not accomplish tasks that have to be done.

Prioritizing Your Day. Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

Successful people are known for writing their to-do-lists the night before so that they are able to set priorities for the following day. They number their lists as well to identify which tasks are the most important.

There is an old saying that luck and preparation always meet opportunity. The most successful people set themselves up for success by preparing all the time. Successful people expect luck will find them, and it usually does.

Goal Oriented, Powerful and strong personal finance habits you need to implement to stay ahead in the game right now.

Wealthy people have a goal. And not just a vague goal but a clearly defined goal and a plan to achieve it. It’s great that you want to quit your job and start your own business, but if you have no plan of action to make that happen, it’s not really a goal. It’s just a daydream.

In general, wealthy people work hard to achieve their goals, to the exclusion of most other activities. They avoid wasting time on nonproductive things like social media, and that’s because of their belief that time is money, and time misspent is money lost.

Successful achievers practice writing down their goals, plans, or visions for success on a regular basis. Successful people do this the night before, or first thing in the morning so that they are prepared to tackle the challenges that await them.

Exercise and Successful People

Wealthy people value their health and structure their eating habits accordingly. Corley found that 57% of wealthy people count calories every day. He also found that 70% of rich folks eat fewer than 300 calories of junk food per day.

According to Thomas Corley, author of “Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits Of Wealthy Individuals, 67% of wealthy people watch less than an hour of TV a day. Also, 88% of the wealthy read self improvement books 30 minutes each day.

There are many reasons wealthy people watch what they eat, but the most significant could very well be to ensure a longer life – and therefore an extended opportunity to earn more.

Coupled with healthy eating, wealthy people also believe in staying fit by exercising. In fact, Corley reports that 76% of wealthy people do aerobic exercise at least four days per week.

Richard Branson has been quoted as saying, “I seriously doubt that I would have been as successful in my career (and happy in my personal life) if I hadn’t always placed importance on my health and fitness,” explains the serial entrepreneur.

    Time Is Money

People who achieve a wealthy status have one thing in common and they have all found ways to beef up their productivity and wring the most out of every day. The most successful people have learned to do this without becoming workaholics.

Instead of considering their weekly, monthly, or annual incomes, the wealthy focus on how much they should be earning every hour – and how much money they would lose by engaging in tasks that don’t produce money. This allows them to avoid the time sinks that most non-wealthy people engage in on a regular basis.

    Frugality

Becoming wealthy and staying that way takes a certain level of discipline. Sure, an occasional splurge won’t put you in the poor house, but frequent frivolous spending can quickly scrap away at your net worth. The frugal habits necessary to achieve financial success and maintain it can be surprisingly easy to maintain.

My post on financial uncertainty goes over some of these tips as well.

There’s a popular saying that you have to spend money to make money. While this is true, most non-wealthy people don’t take into account the fact that the more money you spend, the less you have – and spending more than you earn does not result in wealth.

    Keep It Moving

According to Spectrem Group, the average United States millionaire is 62 years old. Just 1% of millionaires are under the age of 35, and 38% of millionaires are 65 and older.

The longer you continue to work and the more money you can make. The drive to stay healthy is connected to this goal. Wealthy people often choose not to retire. Since the majority enjoy what they do, the idea of continuing to work is both welcome and comforting.

I have laid out the foundation I believe will get you on the path to eating healthier. Focusing more on the bottom line and bridging that gap of mind and body thus becoming wealthier in the process.

    Be blessed…stay safe
